Simone Walsh was born in Dublin and studied in the School of Art & Design in Mountioy Square, Dublin. In 1993 she emigrated to New Zealand and spent seven years living and travelling between Auckland and Dublin. In 2000, she opened up her own Studio in Wexford Town.

Simone's love of colour developed during her time in the bright climate of New Zealand. By using colour in an exciting manner, her paintings have an uplifting quality that can brighten your spirit and emotions.

A mixture of acrylic and glazes give her work a glass like effect with a build up of blended colours on the paper and the relief gold adding depth, detail and dimension. Simone's paintings are full of life and character with a charm that cannot help but captivate the viewer.
